I absolutely loved my stay at Budds!! The staff was super kind and went out of their way to create the best experience for the guests. The atmosphere was really nice and welcoming. I loved the outside area and all the different activities Budds offered. All in all it was a great experience. I would definitely book again!

I accidentally booked my hostel a day to early and got called by Dani from reception to ask if I was still checking in. (shout out to you, you’re awesome). They immediately offered me multiple solutions to make sure I could use all the days I booked instead of the usual “it’s your problem” talk, which for me sets this hostel apart from others. When I arrived the day after I was welcomed with open arms, a smile, was upgraded from an 8 person dorm to a 4 person dorm for free and got shown around the hostel which made my feel at home. Afterwards I was invited to the social events and had a great time. The hostel is one of the cleanest I have stayed at in Australia and the staff is very ademend on making your time here in surfers as good as possible. They host different kind of events every day which makes it easy to meet others (see the attached picture). This includes a free sub class and beginners surfing lessons. The hostel provides free bikes and surfboards if you leave a card or id behind as a deposit. Personally, the only point of improvement would be the size of the lockers (if you have a bag that’s bigger than 40l you might have some trouble locking things up) and the mattresses could be upgraded in the future (but are definitely decent and comfortable compared to other hostels I have stayed at)
Overal, I would highly recommend staying here, I’ll definitely come back here if I were to stay in surfers again. They give you a lot of bang for your buck.

Das Hostel ist einfach super, du wirst von jedem staff member willkommen geheißen und es ist immer ein herrlich guter vibe. Außerdem gibt es jeden Tag Aktivitäten wenn man will und der Pool macht selbst im regen Spaß

As a group of girls we can be quite messy and what really impressed us was how well the housekeeping looked after our room! We were so grateful! Thank you so much to all the staff for making us feel welcome! The evenings were fantastic with the events team! Budds was recommended to us and I’m so grateful we booked with them!
My experience in budds has been incredible! The staff are very welcoming and have been so friendly throughout my stay. I have especially enjoyed the events, the guy on the barbecue is a sweetheart so lovely ! The food is 10/10 also the events are so good in joining people together and allowing you to make friends, big shout out to Kane and Liana for encouraging everyone to join in and making the nights out fantastic! I’ve made some incredible friends here and would recommend anyone to come to Budds when passing through surfers.
Second time returning to this hostel, it’s clean, social and offers free breakfast every morning and free evening food throughout the week. What really makes this hostel great is the social atmosphere created by the staff both in the day and during the events especially Liana, Kane and Amy and Thomas!
